Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."
Matthew 19:14
Gospel Community Church values partnerships with parents that equip them to be the primary disciple makers of their children. One of the ways we do this is through our Gospel Community Kids Ministry. This ministry exists to Biblically encourage and celebrate children, disciple them to love Jesus and live all of life for the glory of God, and to support and equip their parents to do the same.
During our Sunday Gatherings children from birth through fifth grade are discipled in a fun, secure and intentional environment while students starting in sixth grade are encouraged to attend the service with their parents.

WHAT TO EXPECT YOUR FIRST TIME
CHECK-IN
At check-in you'll get printed name tags for your children and a parent receipt with a matching, randomly generated, 3 digit code. You'll show this parent receipt to pick up your children at the end of the service.
OPENING ACTIVITIES
After children are checked in, they head to their classrooms. They'll meet up with their friends and class leaders and participate in some “warm up” activities prior to Large Group Worship and Teaching.
LARGE GROUP WORSHIP
We want to disciple children to worship God in spirit and in truth. This means we have them sing songs focused on declaring the truth of God is and what he has done while telling Him how much we love Him.
LARGE GROUP TEACHING
We believe the Word of God should be taught boldly and correctly. Each week large group teachers open their Bibles and teach in a manner that children can understand. Children learn in several different ways, so we incorporate all we know about how children learn into how we teach the truth of Scripture. We believe strongly that children should never be bored with the Bible and so we work hard to make sure that doesn't happen.
SMALL GROUPS
The remainder of ministry time (between 30-45 minutes) is dedicated to a small group experience. For younger children, our goal is for them to listen and/or participate in a spiritual conversation on their level for a short amount of time. As they mature, the small group questions move from more content to more personal application of large group teaching. Scripture memorization, prayer and a fun, intentional activity are also included.
SECURITY
We take the security of our children very seriously, so in addition to all of our Gospel Community Kid volunteers having a background check done, we also have strict policies regarding classroom staffing, bathroom breaks and parent pick-ups.
